This successful family run business has become renowned since its inception in 2009 for the preparation and distribution of innovative gourmet style chilled ready meals, prepared using the latest technology from Europe.
The business has the exclusive UK license to use this technology with a further 3 years to run, at the end of which we are informed that this exclusivity could be extended.
Mainly automated, all prodution is done on-site through innovative new manufacturing methods, using 100% fresh ingredients. Quality control systems are in place to ensure products are prepared to the highest standards. The site is fully BRC accredited with a grade A rating. Food production is split 80% own brand and 20% other.
Fourteen lines of ready meals are prepared including Indian, Italian and Chinese. Following preparation, the cooking and in-pack pasteurisation is completed by passing food packs through a unique process which is highly energy efficient and effective. The food is individually packed and sealed prior to cooking to retain all the valuable nutrients, flavours and textures of the ingredients, after which they are cooled and sleeved for distribution. This latest technology gives the ready meals an extended shelf life coupled with fantastic quality and has proven a big hit with the foodservice and retail sector. The extended shelf life also makes the product ideal for retail outlets such as garage forecourts and general retail stores.
The ready meals are prepared in three different pack sizes, (1 kg, 340g & 250g) with the 340g being the overall biggest seller Meal bags consisting of meals + naan + rice go to some customers and are popular takeways in retail outlets.
