Description This moving, relocation and storage operation offers a new owner a stable company with huge upside. When the current owner acquired the business it was solely a moving and storage provider, specializing in the relocation of luxury homeowners and corporations. Today, not only does the business still generate about 60% of its revenue from those activities, but the seller has added two new lines of work that have created some revenue diversification and growth opportunities at the same time. One of these is FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment) work, while the other is interior designer work. In both cases, the company serves as the linchpin in getting a home or business location ready for final use. They will receive all of the material in their warehouse, inventory and store it, then deliver it and even install it if requested. The new owner has also streamlined the operation, improving cash flow margins from 30% to 40% by managing the staff more efficiently and moving to a new location. The business is run semi-absentee, with the owner spending approximately 30 hours/wk in the business. There is a full-time operations director who oversees the day-to-day management. The seller believes that a full-time owner could take the groundwork he's laid and double the business within a year.
