This tried and tested automatic backup utility would be a great additional product line for a growing company, with little development time. Our software is easier to use and has more features than comparable software which today sell tens of thousands of copies each year. Some of its features: Home user, multi-user and server configurations, Options for automatic/scheduled hands-free backups, Backup encryption, Offsite file transfer over the Internet, Easy restore for individuals in a network, File compression and archiving, Open file backup of most files, Easy to use interface. A company who wishes to take our existing code, tweak it slightly to your specifications, repackage and market it well, should enjoy a nice profit. Code could easily be added to this application to backup to tape drives, or, you could create a backup hosting service to store backups sent over the internet using this as the client. This software has been proven by many individuals and businesses across the globe. It was written in Visual Basic 6 over a span of 4+ years for a total of about 3 full man-years of development and 3 major versions. The purchase of this software should save you much development and testing time and cost, even if used merely as a template to be translated into another programming language. We will include all 3rd party controls. Additional note: It is not the intent of the owners to own any rights to this software after the initial sale.
