Description Established general contracting business in the Greater Toronto area is looking to divest of its tankless water heater business in order to raise capital and reinvest into its core operations. The existing rental business has over 100 clients who rent primarily two water heater models (one manufactured by Takagi and the other by Noritz). The company offers 2 to 5-year rental terms, following which customers are on a month-to-month payment plan until they would like to exercise a buy-out option. The business sale includes all the rented units at replacement cost of approximately $150,000. Depreciated amount of these rented units is lower. As of writing of this profile, inventory of new and uninstalled units totalled approximately $40,000 which amount is excluded and in addition to the above asking price (buyer has the option to purchase or not).
Clients are located primarily in Toronto, Scarborough and Markham. Currently the company manages the business under the same roof as its general contracting business. All installation and repair work is done through sub contractors therefore an acquisition by a company or an individual with a gas license would significantly increase the bottom line.
