Description Renewable Energy Developer is seeking $16.7M in debt and equity to finance the construction of a Renewable Energy Project on a 12-acre site in the Midwest region of the US. The initial stage of construction will involve an Anaerobic Digester and a 1 million gallon Biodiesel Plant.
The Anaerobic Digester will generate in excess of 500 standard cubic feet per minute of pipeline quality biogas using local and regional waste feedstocks (dairy, beef or hog manure and waste liquid organic materials). The upgraded biogas will be sent to a credit worthy off-taker through a long-term Biogas Purchase Agreement. Additional revenues will be derived from tipping fees associated with organic waste streams delivered to the digester by waste recycling firms and value added co-products produced through the sale of pathogen free, phosphate rich fibers (as soil amendments), concentrated liquid ammonia fertilizers and high purity, recovered water for local farm needs. A technology performance guarantee and financial backing will be obtained from the manufacturer of the Digester. The Nutrient Recovery System will be supported through a AAA rated source.
The Biodiesel Plant will produce 1 million gallons per year of B100, ASTM standard biodiesel, using local and regional feedstocks (animal byproducts, vegetable oils, waste greases, fats and oil, Camelina seeds and etc) with proven, process-based technology. Revenue for the Biodiesel Plant is generated from the sale of biodiesel to the state of Iowa and local/regional blenders as well as the sale RINs generated from production.
