Description Villa Foscarini Cornaro, built around the middle of the sixteenth century and the residence of the most beautiful names of the Venetian aristocracy, is a gem of the renaissance architecture nestled in the green of the Venetian countryside, within walking distance from the ancient roman city of Oderzo and just a few kilometers from Venice and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The noblewoman Elizabeth Cornaro Foscarini was born from one of the families most prestigious of Venice, the Cornaro. Four times a joint of the noblewoman salts to seat doges, while her sister Caterina Cornaro, became the Queen of Cyprus.
In 1712 he went to bride the ''Attorney of San Marco'' Peter Foscarini. The bridegroom was born the October 26, 1680 overlaid with the task of ''Captain of Vicenza''. On 29 August 1745 Peter Foscarini died leaving his widow Elizabeth usufruct of all of its assets.

Elizabeth Cornaro Foscarini became friend and lover of Marco Foscarini, brother of her deceased husband, the - Doge of Venice. Marco and Elizabeth lived and were the owners of the Villa Foscarini Cornaro up to the year 1811.
During the Second World War, Villa Foscarini Cornaro was partially used as barracks for the Germanic troops, and then become Ministerial Seat.
