Description Royko Enterprises LLC has been engaged by Life Capitol AS to find a buyer or buyers for the intangible assets of Gentelr BioSciences, Inc. (''Gentel'' or ''Company''). Life Capitol AS is the primary secured creditor of Gentel and is facilitating the sale of these assets through a UCC Article 9 sale process. Prior to becoming distressed, Gentelr provided protein microarray products and services to life science researchers worldwide. The Company's core technologies focused on the delivery of a portfolio of reliable protein array systems, kits and services to the proteomics research and clinical monitoring markets, with emerging applications for the in vitro diagnostics market.
The global in vitro diagnostics market was valued at $44 billion in the year 2011, and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 7.8% from 2011 to 2016. The U.S. represented the biggest market for the IVD equipment accounting for a share of 47% of the total IVD market in the year 2011.1The sale includes fourteen patents, six of which have been issued, two are pending, and six published.
These assets could represent a significant opportunity for a buyer with the skill sets and resources to capitalize.
