Description In 1977 the owner opened his first shop and developed a patented process which created a high gloss finish that resisted extreme environmental conditions and the businesses was extremely successful. Expanded to six shops by 1987 and continued to be very successfull, The owner won awards for providing high quality aftermarket service, and was one of the entrepreneurs written up in the Dallas Morning News in 1977. The owner did not believe in short cuts, resisted Insurance Company demands to use imitation sheet metal parts, and in fact was a part of alobby effort against the insurance companies efforts to control the industry. Texas Senate Bill 14 became law in 2003,establishing policies with a provision limiting payment for repairs unless they are made at a repair facility selected by the Insurance Companies, which tended to steer the majority of consumers away from top quality shops and the entire repair industry was blindsided, and these businesses continued to suffer, as they do not have insurance direct-repair relationships. The company failed to adjust to this new way of doing business, and along with the Insurance Companies trend of ''Totaling Out'' a higher percentage (33%) of repairs has made it a very competitive industry, especially for those without direct-repair programs. The quality image still exists, and these shops are good acquisition for an established company, or new owner with good insurance relationships and a direct-repair program who would like to expand into the DFW market.
